Jakša Puljiz
Jaksa Puljiz received his master's degree in 2005 from the postgraduate study Operational Research at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, and his doctorate in 2009 from the Faculty of Economics in Split with the theme "Factors of Regional Development and Regional Inequalities in the Republic of Croatia". He started his work at the Institute in 2001 in the Department of Resource Economics, Environmental Protection and Regional Development, where he mainly dealt with regional and local development topics with a particular focus on EU Cohesion Policy. Since 2017, he has been the Head of the European Integration Section and is addressing topics related to the impact of individual European policies on the economic and social development of the Member States. During his work at IRMO, he has collaborated with numerous international organizations such as the World Bank, EC, UNDP and others. From 2012 to 2016 he was Deputy Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, after which he was appointed Advisor to the Prime Minister for the Economy. As an expert, he participated in the preparation of a series of strategic documents and studies in the field of regional development and competitiveness.
